The Elite Academy is geared toward the serious soccer player that has the drive and desire to play collegiate level soccer. The Elite program is modeled after a typical collegiate pre-season schedule. While individual development is the basis, how individual decisions affect the team successes and dynamics will be stressed. At the end of the academy each player will have a better idea of what it takes to play collegiate soccer. |

The Elite Academy will also feature daily seminars on such topics as the psychology of a champion, strength and conditioning, diet and nutrition, goal setting and success in the admissions and recruiting process. Each high school student will have the opportunity for a campus tour as well.

ADVANCED ACADEMY |
(ages 10-18) |

The Advanced Academy at Virginia Tech is geared toward developing the ‘total’ soccer player who is focused on maximizing their soccer potential in a competitive, but positive environment |

The goal of the Advanced Academy is straightforward. Each player will learn new skills, while improving those that they have already. Once players leave camp they will know how to train themselves and how to use their newly found skills on every team for which they play. The academy will give players an excellent opportunity to get prepared for their high school, middle school, or club soccer seasons.

DAY CAMP |
(ages 5-12) |

The Day Camp is specifically designed for girls who want to learn the fundamental skills of soccer. Emphasis on correct technique is maximized through individual instruction, while small-sided games enhance the learning environment. The fun filled days will be fully supervised and a certified trainer will be on duty. Players will learn to juggle, shoot with more accuracy and power, dribble to beat an opponent, and the art of passing.

We end the camp on Friday with a pizza party beginning at 11:15am. Families are welcome to attend!

GOALKEEPER ACADEMY |
(in conjunction with the Elite & Advanced Academys) |

The importance of the goalkeeper position is valued at the camp and special attention will be given to the unique demands placed on the goalkeeper. GK will have the opportunity to work with our VT goalkeeping staff and other GK camp coaches, who will design the curriculum and run the training sessions. |

The goal of the program is to improve upon each goalkeeper's physical, tactcal, and technical quantities, while also addressing the psychological aspects it takes to becoming your best.There will be 3 sessions a day. Two will consist of such topics as dealing with crosses, proper positioning/angles, footwork/kicking, breakaways, etc. The third session of the day goalkeepers will play ina full field 11 v11 match. |

TEAM ACADEMY |
(14+ members) |

Players have the option of coming as a TEAM (14+ members) to the Advance or Elite Academy. Our Team Academy will be aimed at preparing teams for the upcoming fall season. Each team will be assigned an academy staff coach for the week to train your team. Areas of concentration will include team shape, group defending and attacking, set pieces, team-building exercises, as well as match analysis from games played throughout the week. Teams will leave camp ready for the challenges that lie ahead! Each team’s head coach is invited to attend camp to work closely with their team and with the academy staff coach. If the team coach requires housing during the week, please contact one of the camp directors so that space can be secured and payment can be ironed out. |
